Former Las Vegas casino executive gets probation, fine in illegal bookie case

LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — Former casino executive Scott Sibella was sentenced to probation and a fine for violating federal anti-money laundering laws when he allowed an illegal bookmaker to gamble at his casino. Wednesday's sentencing came after Sibella reached a plea agreement with federal prosecutors back in January on a count of failure to file reports of suspicious transactions required to be made by casinos. On the morning of March 11th, investigators say the body of a male infant child was discovered in the area of Lincoln Way East and South Second Street, in McConnellsburg Borough. It was late November 1978 when a train hauling about 50 cars loaded with coal derailed in Friedens, in Somerset County. Our news crews were there after it happened, then returned the next morning at daylight to see the damage.
