Walmart plans large fulfillment center in Pennsylvania
SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. (AP) — Walmart has announced plans for a large fulfilment center in central Pennsylvania that the company says will bring as many as 600 permanent full-time jobs to the area.
Walmart said the 1.8 million-square-foot-plus facility in Franklin County’s Southampton Township near Shippensburg is scheduled to open in the spring of this year.
Fulfillment centers store millions of items that are picked, packed and shipped directly to customers, unlike the company’s distribution centers that store and distribute products to Walmart stores.

The Hollidaysburg area school district school board met this evening for their regularly scheduled meeting , however many people still showed up to voice their opinions about the new policy attempted to be passed after a controversial book was brought into class by a teacher.

Logan Township police chief resigns over medical issue
LOGAN TOWNSHIP – Logan Township Police Chief Tim Mercer will resign from his job in March because of an undisclosed medical issue.
His resignation was accepted by Logan Township supervisors Thursday night.
