Woman killed, 4 wounded in Westmoreland Co. shooting

JEANNETTE, Pa. (AP) — Police are seeking a man in connection with a shooting that killed a woman and injured four other people at a western Pennsylvania home, authorities said. The Westmoreland County coroner and district attorney said Brianna Lartz, 25, was killed in the gunfire Friday evening at a Jeannette home. Officials said four other people brought to hospitals were expected to survive their injuries. No further information about the victims or their conditions was immediately available Saturday. Altoona duo faces charges for causing $70,000 damage at Lakemont Park

Two Altoona men are facing charges after they allegedly caused more than $70,000 in damage at Lakemont Park. According to a probable-cause affidavit, Caleb Crust and Nicholas Dubbs, both 23 years old, entered the park just after 1:30 a.m. Oct. 28. Once inside, the two drove go-karts through the park, damaging the vehicles, a basketball court and a display, according to the affidavit. Paul Kendrick, now age 27, is accused of attacking 61-year-old Sgt. Mark J. Baserman in February 2018 inside SCI Somerset. Former Lackawanna Co. defense attorney sentenced for soliciting sex acts as legal payment

LACKAWANNA CO. (WOLF) — A former Lackawanna County defense attorney who pleaded guilty to soliciting sex acts for legal services has been sentenced. Corey Kolcharno was sentenced Thursday to four to 23 months in prison, followed by 2 years probation for providing legal services to female clients in exchange for sexual acts and materials.
