Michigan dairy worker diagnosed with bird flu, marking third US human case

Another Michigan dairy worker has been diagnosed with bird flu, the third human case associated with an outbreak in U.S. dairy cows, health officials said Thursday. This person developed respiratory symptoms, unlike the two workers, who had only mild eye symptoms, health officials said. But the farmworker was quickly provided antivirals and is recovering from respiratory symptoms, Michigan health officials said. NANTY GLO, Pa. (WJAC) — There's a new bar restaurant in Nanty Glo. Its theme -- first responders and military. Heroes Tavern on McCoy Street opened its doors in December. It was originally known as the Little Wheel Tavern. Inside the restaurant there's an honor wall, with pictures of first responders. Owner Billy Ray is the mayor of Nanty Glo and also worked 25 years for the state police. He says he wanted to have a restaurant that would honor the men and women who help protect our country. Cambria County Prison will get X-ray scanner

EBENSBURG — Cambria County will spend more than $77,000 on an X-ray scanner for the county prison, in the wake of two incidents earlier this year in which two female inmates overdosed inside the prison.
