First full-size 3D scan of Titanic shows shipwreck in new light

Sandy Twp. 'discontinues' consolidation lawsuit against DuBois

CLEARFIELD COUNTY, Pa (WJAC) — This week, Sandy Township supervisors officially “discontinued" their lawsuit against the city of DuBois. Student killed, 23 hurt in Ohio school bus crash

GERMAN TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WKEF) — One student was killed and nearly two dozen others were injured in a school bus crash Tuesday morning in Clark County, Ohio. Dayton Children's Hospital confirmed it was treating 22 children in connection to the crash. One other child was listed in serious condition. Tree down causes power outages in Brownstown

JOHNSTOWN, Pa. (WJAC) — One Johnstown borough is without power due to a fallen tree and downed wires. Authorities say a tree fell on wires near Gilbert Street and Wall Street in Brownstown Friday morning. The downed wires caused power outages in the area. The roadways are being closed until crews can remove the tree and Penelec can restore power. According to the Penelec outage map, between 100-500 customers are affected by the outage. [Read More]

Crime-stopping AI cameras coming to a Cambria County police department

Northern Cambria Borough Police Department Chief Derek Stitt said four locations in the borough will soon have four new cameras helping to stop crime. He said the there are two different types of cameras they are getting. Officials said the first type is a license plate reader, which can read and analyze a car's license plate for outstanding warrants or check if they car is reported as stolen. DuBois City police officer dies in Jefferson County car crash

WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP, Pa. - A DuBois City and Sandy Township police officer was killed in a car crash in Jefferson County Monday night while off duty. Police said 33-year-old Patrick Straub died after the car he was driving was struck by another vehicle. According to police, 32-year-old Corey Williams of Reynoldsville lost control of his Jeep Cherokee on state Route 219 around 7:10 p.m. and struck Straub's Toyota. Straub and Williams was pronounced dead at the scene and two passengers in his vehicle were taken to Penn Highlands for minor injuries. [Read More]
